Selena Coalter – An Empowerment Success

Selena Coalter is a 17-year-old senior at Daviess County High School where she is an active member of National Honor Society, Beta Club and president of Family, Career & Community Leaders of America and participates with the school newspaper.

Selena has worked at Holiday World for the past two summers and is part of the Owensboro Police Department Explorers program where she assists at police-sponsored events and attends meetings to learn about law enforcement. She is an active member in the BridgePointe Church Youth Group.

Selena was chosen to participate in the Commonwealth Honors Academy hosted at Murray State University last summer. She earned six hours college credit by participating in this three-week residential honors program for high school students going into their senior year.

Selena has been accepted to and received scholarships from Murray State University where she plans to major in Accounting and participate in Study Abroad.
